As my age goes up in numbers,
Years feel shorter,
Days are numbered
Hours look a bit encumbered
Minutes vanish for my slumber
Now my moments start to blend together
Vision starts to fade and under all my day-to-day responsibilities is wonder uh
Wonders of what could’ve been
What would’ve been worse in the end
I’ve seen what means less fortunate,
Shouldn’t put myself first
‘cause I got my fam, my friends, my dog, and my work
To each their own shit, but that’s what feeds my self-worth
Now I’m waking up in early mornings
Barely yawning
Drink my glass of water, make some coffee
Slowly pouring
Call my dog and take her on a stroll and
Get my blood flowing
Find my motivation
Love what I got and grow it so
Find your passion in your hobbies
Promise it’s worth it
Got to take the action first though
Talk is cheap without purpose
We’ve dealt with pain, death, heartbreaks in all versions
Can’t let that weigh us down, lift it up and flex like you earned it and live that
